6-2 Rotation (Offensive System)

The 6-2 offensive system uses two setters and six potential attackers. The setter who is in the back row always sets, ensuring three front-row hitters are available on every play. When one setter rotates to the front row, the other takes over setting from the back row. The 6-2 is popular at lower levels where a dedicated back-row setter allows all front-row players to attack. It is a tactical designation governed by rotation and overlap rules (FIVB Rule 7.5).
