Rotation Fault

A rotation fault (also called a serving-order fault) is committed when a team serves out of rotational order. Per FIVB Rule 7.7, the fault results in a point and service for the opponent. Additionally, per FIVB Rule 7.7.2, all points scored since the fault occurred are cancelled for the team that committed the fault; the opponent retains their points. The correct rotational order is restored and recorded on the scoresheet at the start of each set.
