Libero Replacement Zone

The libero replacement zone is the area between the attack line and the end line on the sideline where the libero may enter and exit the court. Per FIVB Rule 19.3.2, the libero replacement is not considered a substitution and may occur before any rally, provided the player replaced has been on the court for at least one complete rally. The exchange occurs during a dead ball, and the libero must replace a back-row player.
