Antenna

The antenna is a flexible fiberglass rod, 1.8 meters long and 10 mm in diameter, attached to the outer edge of each sideline band of the net. Per FIVB Rule 2.3, the antenna is considered part of the net. The ball must cross the net entirely between the antennas (and their imaginary extensions). If the ball contacts an antenna, passes outside the antenna, or the serving player contacts the antenna, the ball is out of play and the opponent scores a point.
